VCU Storms away with 11-0 Victory on Senior Night Fall 2015

Two seniors were honored for senior night on December 11th. The first, Jack Hussar, and the second, Colin Catherman.

Hussar’s first season with the VCU Rams was during the fall 2012. He has always been a hard worker on the team. He always showed up for practice, always worked his hardest during practice, and his effort always showed games. His determination never went unnoticed. Assistant coach Dallas Woods encouraging words stated, “I was lucky enough to play with Jack my last season as a VCU Ram, and I would gladly take an entire team made up of 17 Jack’s.” Hussar graduated with a degree in Journalism.

Catherman played only one season for VCU being a graduate student in the School of Medicine. He played 3.5 years with Lebanon Valley College M1 Hockey team in Pennsylvania. For his last semester of eligibility, he was able to play as a Ram. Due to an injury, he is seeking an additional semester for the spring 2016.

Both of these players will be missed and had a significant impact on VCU Rams Hockey.

The Rams took on Johnson & Wales Univeristy from North Carolina for senior night. The scoring started immediately by Robbie Ayler just 59 seconds into the contest, with an assist from Catherman. Five minutes later, Buzz Genow scored another with an assist from Ayler leading to the Rams never looking back on what turned to be a memory for the players. Jack Hussar did top off the night with the eleventh goal with an assist from captain Phil Williams.
